One Greek Store was founded in the summer of 2006 by three college students at the University of Florida. The founders recognized a unique need in the Greek community. They wanted to provide Greek apparel of exceptional quality at reasonable prices. They sought to create Value in the Greek apparel industry.

Although the idea was simple, making this goal a reality proved to be much more challenging. With very little capital, the founders used their entire savings and credit cards to launch their business. In August of 2006, onegreekstore.com officially launched.

To minimize expenses, One Greek Store operated out of a third floor apartment. The founders converted their living room and dining room space into an area for warehousing, receiving, shipping, production, and office operations. Everything imaginable was done to reduce expenses so that savings may be passed to the customer. Although the space was small and money was limited, OGS was able to persevere and focused on growth.

Over the next several months, One Greek Store aggressively marketed their products to students at the University of Florida and beyond.

Customers immediately recognized the exceptional quality produced by OGS along with the unbeatable prices they offered. As knowledge of One Greek Store grew, the company expanded exponentially.

In the Spring of 2008, OGS moved to their retail location located just minutes away from the University of Florida campus. Since then, the company has grown to offer thousands of gifts and merchandise tailored to Greek organizations.
